Daddy's stuff

Joaquin has been saying "My momma" since the beginning of his babbling, but last night he said "My daddy"...it's very cute.

He has also decided that his daddy has the best stuff and that daddy's areas must be the most fun places to play in the whole house. So he now makes his way to the A/V stuff or tries to get in the garage whenever he can. When he gets something new, he puts it in his hand and wants to walk around the house to show it to someone. We look for Gideon or Uncle Nate and then we head back to daddy's area to get something new.

Ah yes, I remember this stage well. I also remember when it got old and wasn't so cute anymore :) That was when we invested in some cabinet locks to keep little ones out and everything else in! We've since gone on to create a very baby & parent friendly house, wherein anything the kids can get into is 100% kid-friendly and doesn't create any extra work for me! Everything else is out of reach.
