I haven't posted these yet and since I am on a very long conference call...We went to Santa Barbara for my mom's birthday earlier in the month and had a great time. We started in Los Olivos for wine tasting...great because you can park and walk all over. Spent the night in Solvang in a very nice hotel. We got a great deal on that hotel and we took full advantage of it...slept at 9 pm, dinner in the restaurant, everyone went swimming...the room even had an electric fireplace, which we kept on all night! The next day, we went to the Santa Barbara Zoo, which is nice...small and beautifully landscaped. Joaquin liked it, although he seemed to like the fence along the border the best.
Joaquin is standing up on his own all the time now and has started experimenting with letting our hands go so he is on his own. He is crawling now, although very reluctantly and he is very vocal about how much he dislikes it...he'll do everything in his power to get you to help him to walk. I had a first experience of leaving him in a room and coming back to find him across the room and standing up holding the chair on his own!
